Fplay

FPLAY as a high speed version of APLAY:

https://www.sdrutah.org/info/making_fplay.html

Our WebSDR doesn’t use FPLAY. We use GNUradio 3.10 to acquire the multicast I/Q streams and forward it by an audio sink to the WebSDR. FASTLOOP is needed to support the 386kHz and 768kHz.

For a few bands a wide band noise blanker is inserted in the stream.

Ubuntu 22.04 installs GNUradio 3.10. The multicast block has to be added by yourself.

Franco K4VZ has written this Multicast block for GNUradio 3.10:

We have set the minimum buffer size to 100000 to receive the streams without dropped packets.
